Footcandle Film Society is starting a new monthly film series at the Newton-Conover Auditorium (60 W 6th St, Newton) on Monday, October 22nd, at 7:00pm, with the film HEARTS BEAT LOUD.

This film is not considered part of a current Footcandle membership so the screening is open to the public with tickets available at the door for $5.00 for all attendees

As an added bonus, the Newton-Conover Auditorium will be selling beer, wine, and other refreshments before and during the show!

About the film:  In the hip Brooklyn neighborhood of Red Hook, single dad and record store owner Frank (Nick Offerman) is preparing to send his hard-working daughter Sam (Kiersey Clemons) off to college while being forced to close his vintage shop. Hoping to stay connected through their shared musical passions, Frank urges Sam to turn their weekly jam sessions into a father-daughter live act. After their first song becomes an internet breakout, the two embark on a journey of love, growing up and musical discovery.

The film is rated PG-13 for some drug references and brief language.  Link to movie trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXNOg_SK7Vs

We hope to have you join us in Newton for our first monthly screening at the Newton-Conover Auditorium!
